What will you learn?

Participants will explore practical approaches to supporting inclusive and respectful workplaces within the clean growth sector, applying diversity, equity, and inclusion principles to recruitment, hiring, retention, and employee engagement across roles and regions. Learning is self-directed and takes approximately 100 minutes to complete.

Course outcomes:

• Define diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging in the context of Newfoundland and Labrador’s green economy. • Recognize and reflect on biases and microaggressions that impact team dynamics and innovation. • Practice actionable allyship aligned with sustainability goals and community impact. • Apply inclusive leadership traits and strategies to workplace interactions and decision-making specifically related to recruitment, hiring, retention, and engagement across all roles. • Foster respectful communication and inclusive collaboration in environmental projects.
